Der Snowman und ehemalige Boy N Da Hood Young Jeezy, meldet sich mit seinem dritten Studioalbum zurück. Ab sofort ist "The Recession" über Def Jam in jedem gut sortierten Plattenladen erhältlich. Das Video zur ersten Single "Put On" zusammen mit Kanye West, indem der wirtschaftliche Aufschwung nach der Rezession heraufbeschworen wird, ist auch schon auf den Musiksender der Welt angelaufen und auf dem besten Weg die Charts zu erobern.

"I went from 'Thug Motivation' to 'The Inspiration' and now 'The Recession'. And that's just how I'm feeling, I'm feeling the recession. I'm feeling the drought and I'm gonna speak on it. And when I speak on it you're gonna appreciate it. I'm known for making those national anthems and when you get this album its gonna be full of national anthems, it's going to be full street stuff to help you get through your day, and its gonna be full of politics here and there to help you understand if you ain't enlightened", so Young Jeezy in einem Interview über sein drittes Majoralbum.

Jeezy hat auch keine Mühen gescheut, um für sein Ablum hochkarätige Produzenten aufzutreiben. So finden sich unter den 18 Tracks, Beats von DJ Toomp, The Runners, Don Cannon, Drumma Boy, Shawty Redd und der J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Features kommen von Nas, Kanye West, Trey Songz, Anthony Hamilton, Lil Boosie und Shwaty Redd. Die zweite Single wird dann "Vacation" sein und das Video, in dem es dicke Cameos gibt, könnt ihr euch schon mal hier angucken.
